How Repair a Tear in Your Small or Large Awning?

An awning can tear or meet small openings due to the natural or artificial cause. You never know when things can go differently; an expensive awning can waver with a harsh wind, falling of tree trunk, rain, and other such relevant situations. The simplest way is to use a repair tape to keep it functional. Sometimes when you arrange a trip and head out, find a hole in your awning? Such situations blow off the plans and the fun time. If you have basic essentials and repair tape simply set fix your awning and help plant it safe. You can even go for Awning Fabric Replacement if your awning looks really old and shaken.

Basic Technique to Tape Your Tottered Awning:

1) Use a non-abrasive cleaning solution to clean off both the top and bottom of the awning where the repair is needed. This will remove every amount of dirt, mold or rot that you see on the damaged lot.

2) Carefully dry the cleaned area applying a pervious towel or wash cloth. Avoid leaving any moisture in the area. Try to keep the spot air-dry until it's completely moisture free. This step might sound easy but an awning repair is not an easy task to perform. You have to be very particular about how you apply the cleaner and in what quantity.

3) Put a clean flat panel surface under the tear to prudently smear with the repair tape on the tear. This is very touchy because the moment the tape touches, it must stay, so don't try to move it after applying. Firmly smooth out any bubbles that remain under the tape.

4) If you've mistakably applied the tape at the wrong viewpoint, it's okay to apply the second piece of tape to cover the rest of the tear. Never try to remove the tape that you've already applied.

5) When one side is taped, place the flat surface on the other side of the awning and apply another belt to the bottom side in the same manner.

Examine your awning for spaces that appear like they're about to tear, or where there are small holes that could lead to seeping when it rains. If you just can’t do with mere taping and process.
